How we collect your personal data

Your personal data is collected in various forms
·GB Joinery receive email and telephone enquiries regarding products we supply
·using our on line web forms
·collecting information from showroom visits

Any email enquiry will be dealt with by way of return email requesting more information or confirming an appointment to visit a property. If no reply is given by the customer then the details originally sent in as an enquiry will be deleted from our system and no further correspondence will happen.

What we collect and how we use your personal data

·Any customer wishing to have a site visit from one of our representatives will have their name and address manually stored into our lead book with their name, address, phone number, email and details of what work they want to have carried out.
·The lead book is a hand written document that stays within the offices of GB Joinery at all times. A copy of the lead book is held at our Sale branch for good working practice. The lead books are held at the company for 2 years for reference as customers do often come back after a long time.

How long we will use your personal data

·Once a customer has decided to go ahead with GB Joinery then paperwork will be drawn up with their details. The paperwork will be stored on file at GB Joinery for 12 years (2 years past guarantee period) as it contains vital project info for the customer.
·Only customers that have purchased goods and services have their name, address, email address and project details stored at GB Joinery.

Sharing your data

In order for GB Joinery to comply with current Window and Door regulations we must register your details with FENSA (Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme) who in turn send a FENSA Certificate directly to the customer.

Rights for individuals

·Right to Rectification – update inaccurate data we hold for you
·Right to Erasure – you may request for your personal data to be erased from our systems. If you require this, we will do so as soon as possible. To allow us to keep the details of the products used on your contract for future service/guarantee requirements we will retain your name.
